Happy New Year, everyone!
Over the holidays our team performed The Sawdust Theater Puppet Show at Christmas Train. If you haven’t seen the video yet, just scroll down a bit and you’ll see it.
We’ve gotten some questions on how the puppeteers are positioned, what they’re sitting on and how the show is working behind the scenes. To answer those and more, we’re posting a backstage shot of the show. Hopefully this’ll help, especially if you’re looking to do something similar at your church.
A few notes: Our puppeteers in the video are (from left to right) Lydia Wennekamp, Matt Latta, and Andrew Dale. This’ll help if you need to refer to one of them. Also, you’ll notice the whole show is one continuous audio track. This allowed us to have different puppeteers each night and utilize voices of folks who aren’t puppeteers. (Bonus points if you can pick out Chris Munch’s characters.)
From all of us here at Jim Wideman Ministries we would like to wish you a happy and healthy New… read more
