CALL TO WORSHIP
Good morning and welcome to Sojourn Community Church. We are here together, because God initiates… he’s willing to receive us as we are.
…and the bible teaches that for christians, all of life is an act of worship because Christ dwells within us… you have fellowship with God, his very presence with you, 24-7. Yet there is a unique and special foretaste of being in the presence of God when the church gathers together. Hear the word of the Lord and let us proclaim these words together:
How lovely is your dwelling place, O LORD Almighty.
I long, yes, I faint with longing to enter the courts of the LORD. With my whole being, body and soul, I will shout joyfully to the living God.
Even the sparrow finds a home there, and the swallow builds her nest and raises her young––at a place near your altar, O LORD Almighty, my King and my God!
How happy are those who can live in your house, always singing your praises.
We gather as the family of God, to enjoy God’s presence. We can enjoy community with God and his people by singing his praises with one another – as a family, let’s raise our voices to our good King.
None But Thee -Justin
Hear the word of the Lord..
…the trouble is not with the law, for it is spiritual and good. The trouble is with me, for I am all too human, a slave to sin. I don’t really understand myself, for I want to do what is right, but I don’t do it. Instead, I do what I hate. -Romans 7:14-15 NLT
Let’s respond to Jesus invitation to come as we are and experience life with him…
Come Ye Sinners -Justin
Our hope is in God alone, and the salvation we receive from him is only possible in Christ alone. (The truly obedient one) Let’s read together what has been proclaimed about Jesus in the Scriptures:
There is salvation in no one else! God has given no other name under heaven by which we must be saved.
We have confessed our weakness today, but we also affirm the power of Christ to bring about the salvation we all need.
…and Jesus himself says we’re far more valuable than the birds, and God cares for them. Let’s be a people who exchange worry and fear for confidence and trust as we prepare our tithes and offerings and the giving baskets are passed around.
Let’s continue to sing to him.
PASSING OF THE PEACE
There’s something about reflecting on our future hope… the knowledge that one day all of our relationships will be marked with perfect peace, that encourages us to receive and pursue that peace now. Perfect reconciliation is our future… let that sink in. Let’s model that wonderful future now as we greet those around us with the peace of Christ.
Tis So Sweet to Trust in Jesus -Kara
My victory and honor come from God alone.
He is my refuge, a rock where no enemy can reach me.
O my people, trust in him at all times.
Pour out your heart to him,
for God is our refuge. -Psalm 62:7-8

We start each service with a Call to Worship and end each service with a Benediction, which is a blessing for the road. If you would like to participate please extend a hand.
Go knowing that God is with you on your sojourn through this life, and he will be your eternal home in the life to come. Peace be with you.
