Welcome to Sojourn’s weekly worship music set list review & service recap. You’ll not only read a list of the songs we led, but also the readings and prayers from our liturgy. And if you’d like to see how we incorporate liturgical art and lead the responsive readings, watch the embedded video of our entire service, or check it out on the

CALL TO WORSHIP
Good morning Sojourners. I am so excited to be worshipping with you this morning. Guests, we’re especially glad you’re here and ask you to pardon our mess… I look forward all week to this hour where we can fellowship and worship our great God together. It is no accident that we are here; God has called us and invited us! We have been called to worship not because we are good or deserve it but because God is good and He deserves it! Let’s hear for God’s word:
For God saved us and called us to live a holy life. He did this, not because we deserved it, but because that was his plan from before the beginning of time—to show us his grace through Christ Jesus. -1 Tim. 1:9(NLT)
All Creatures of Our God and King by Francis of Assisi.
When we stand in the presence of God’s holiness, we can’t help be recognize we’re not like him, we fall short. We’re in deep need of his rescue and of his forgiveness. Hear God’s call to confess:
Now repent of your sins and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped away. Then times of refreshment will come from the presence of the Lord, and he will again send you Jesus, your appointed Messiah. -Acts 3:19-20 NLT
(Call to silent confession)
The Bible teaches that God will not despise our broken and contrite heart. Let’s read this truth from God’s Word:
Let the wicked change their ways and banish the very thought of doing wrong.
Let them turn to the Lord that he may have mercy on them.
Yes, turn to our God, for he will forgive generously.

CELEBRATION OF ASSURANCE/GIVING
From God’s Word, we know that all who respond to God’s call of salvation will be saved. No matter what our past may be, the shed blood of Jesus is worthy enough to cleanse us into righteousness. We thank God that no one is too far from the love and saving grace of Jesus Christ. So let’s thank God and pray this aloud together…
Thank you Lord for saving someone like me.
Though I was lost in darkness,
the light of Your salvation shone brighter.
Thank you for Jesus.
In his name we pray, Amen.
And in this assurance let us continue our prayer of thanksgiving as we prepare our tithes and offerings:
God, in the presence of each other
We bring you this offering, thankful that you have
Reconciled all of our lives to you.
Hallelujah! The giving baskets will be passed around as we sing!

PASSING OF THE PEACE
Christ was broken, so we could be healed. He has healed our relationship with Himself, and our relationship with one another. Let’s greet one another with that peace now.

Go now knowing that God became weak that you would have life, and now when you are weak God’s strength is displayed. Peace be with you.
